Many organizations and groups are available for you at St. Mark's.
The Men's Prayer Breakfast group meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday mornings from 6:45 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., taking turns together to present programs of interest and pray for church members and friends.
The ECW (Episcopal Church Women) of St. Mark's link up with other groups in the diocese, present programs and do many good works within the parish family and community. All women in the parish are members of this group.
The Altar Guild is a group of people who take turns arranging for the worship services and decorating the church for special occasions.
Ushers serve at the 10 a.m. service and other special occasions throughout the church year.
The Choir sings at the 10 a.m. service each Sunday. They practice on Sunday morning at 9:10 a.m.
Coffee hosts and greeters offer friendly welcome and a coffee hour to those who come on a Sunday morning.
"Advisact" is a group of former vestry members who host many events and use funds earned for numerous outreach projects in the community.
Acolytes serve with the rector for the worship services of the church.
Lectors, Leaders of the Prayers of the People and Eucharistic Ministers assist in reading the lessons, reading the Prayers of the People and distribution of Holy Communion during a Holy Eucharist service.
Lay Eucharist Visitors carry the sacraments to shut-ins of the parish.
The Fellowship Committee plans many social events of the parish. They are always looking for your input and help.
The Garden Club is made up of individuals who take special interest in an area of the church's landscape. They are busy planting flowers, trimming bushes and making the park-like atmosphere of our parish landscape a welcoming place.
The Prayer Chain is made up of parishioners who call one another to pray for special needs of people who could use an extra prayer or two for recovery or need.
Many other groups form in the parish to meet certain needs and projects in the church and community: The Habitat for Humanity Workers is an example.
